# Version 2.1.1 Telnyx Forwarded Caller ID

This patch makes forwarded calls show your owned Telnyx/business number by default.

## Environment variables

Add/confirm:

TELNYX_PHONE_NUMBER=+1your_telnyx_number
FORWARD_CALLER_ID_MODE=business_number

Optional override:

TELNYX_TRANSFER_CALLER_ID=+1your_telnyx_number

## Why

When Telnyx forwards/transfers a call to BUSINESS_PHONE, the forwarded call is a new outbound leg.
This patch explicitly sets the transfer `from` number to your owned Telnyx number so your business phone should see the business/Telnyx number instead of No Caller ID.

## Important

Caller ID name/display still depends on the receiving carrier.
You may see the Telnyx number, Wireless Caller, Unknown, or eventually a CNAM value if you configure CNAM.
The dashboard still stores the original caller's phone number.
